Kochi boys too good for Guwahati; rains hat-tricks on Day 1

Mumbai, December 31, 2016 Nirmala College Kochi and Govt Higher Secondary School Panampally, Kochi got off to an impressive start to their campaigns as they thrashed the respective opponents from Guwahati on Day 1 of Reliance Foundation Youth Sports National Football Championship here today.

In theCollege Boys category, Nirmala College made a mockery of their opponent AryaVidyapeeth College-Guwahati as they strolled to a 14-0 victory. The one-sidedmatch saw three hat-tricks being scored by the boys in yellow with Jithin Mfinding the net four times (45’, 47’, 50’, & 78’) while Sachin Sivan (35’,43’, 57’) and Abdul K (51’, 52’, 55’) completing the other two hat-tricks.

On the otherhand, the Government Higher Secondary School Panampally, Kochi registered aconvincing 6-2 victory over Guwahati’s Rajdhar Bora High Secondary School inthe Senior Boys category. Main striker Adarsh AS sealed the fate for theopponents with a hat-trick in 37’, 90’ & 93’ minute.
