AVTAR Group invites nominations for 2017 Best Companies for Women in India study

Mumbai, 10th May 2017:India’s leading diversity and inclusion practitioner, AVTAR Group invites nominations from companies across industry segment for the second edition of ‘Best Companies for Women in India’. The project aims to recognize and reward best practices adopted by companies to build a sustainable women’s workforce in India Inc.

The 2017BCWI study lays a platform to showcase the various initiatives undertakenby companies to improve the retention rate of women at workplace andalso offer a conducive ecosystem. Participating companies willalso be able to make peer-to-peer comparisons on best practices, andjudge for themselves the impact of their choices. Companies withalready-established gender parity goals will benefit from cross industry dataand some may come out as equality champions, inspiring others and becoming themost desirable workplaces for talented & highly skilled women.

Thisinitiative is spearheaded by India’s leading diversity & inclusion expert -AVTAR Group in association with US Based Working Mother Media. The firstedition of Best Companies of Women in India (BCWI) in 2016witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 300 companies fromindustry segments like IT, Manufacturing, BFSI, Healthcare, Education and manymore. The program aims to study policies of companies based on severalparameters like Women’s Recruitment, Parental leave, Safety & Security,Flexible Work and more. The Top 10 Companiesfrom 2016 are: Accenture,Cummins, Deloitte, EY, HUL, IBM, ICICI Bank, Intel, Mindtree, Morgan Stanley,People Combine (Due to a tie for one of the positions, there were11 companies in the Top 10). 

Companies fromacross industries can participate in the project. The last date for filing theapplication is June 30th, 2017.
